Dawanglu station is named for the nearby Dawang Bridge and Xidawang Road.
Exits A and C of the station appears as brown-marblish buildings, while exit B is built into Soho New Town. Exit A2 extends to the west side of Xidawang Road as well as China Central Place.

History
The subway station was completed by 1999. Dawanglu Station opened to the public beginning September 28, 1999. The Subway Line 14 link opens in 2015.
Geography
The station lies at the three corners of Dawang Bridge. In its vicinity are also:
- Guanghua Road
- Guanghui Nanli
- Jianguo Road (westbound)
- Jingtong Expressway (eastbound)
- Tonghuihe North Road
- Xidawang Road (north-south)
Architecture
Dawanglu station appears either in the form of two tan boxes (exits A and C) or as part of Soho New Town (exit B), integrated into the building. Exit A2 is in the shape and form of a massive glass entrance.
Interior
Dawanglu station has two underground levels, with the platform on the lower level. Underground Level 1 is a through hall; passengers from Underground Level 2 can take any staircase or elevator to reach all exits on the upper level. The station is supported by two rows of limestone round columns at platform level.
