Songjiazhuang Subway Station is a subway station on the Beijing Subway's Line 5.
By 2012, the station will connect with the Subway Yizhuang Line and Subway Line 10.
Originally, four lines were expected to connect at Songjiazhuang -- Lines 5, 10, 11 and Yizhuang. The merger of Lines 10 and 11 into one line (Line 10) has meant that only three lines will join at Songjiazhuang.

History
The station was built in 2007 and opened to the public at around 14:00 on October 7, 2007.
This subway station will become an interchange station; hence the lack of lifts from the station to the ground.
Geography
The station was built in 2007 and lies on Songzhuang Road, near Hengyitiao Street (1st Cross Alley). Songjiazhuang is expected to link to a future rail connection further south to Yizhuang.

Architecture
Songjiazhuang station takes the form of two grey-and-glass buildings on Songzhuang Road.
Interior
Songjiazhuang station has two underground levels, with the platform on the lower level. Underground Level 1 is a through hall; passengers from Underground Level 2 can take any staircase or elevator to reach all exits on the upper level.
The station is supported by two rows of green square columns at platform level, with one column on each side platform.
