History

The station was built in 2007 and opened to the public at around 14:00 on October 7, 2007.

Geography

Hepinglibeijie Subway Station is situated underneath the crossing where Hepingli West Street (north-south) meets Hepingli North Street (west-east). In its vicinity are also:

The station spans the lengths of almost two crossings. Exits A1, A2 and B are at the three corners of the crossing between Hepingli West Street and Hepingli North Street, while exits C and D are just north of the crossing between Hepingli West Street and Hepingli Middle Street. The entire station sports a through passageway, so pedestrians can easily use the whole length of the station to cross from one end of the dual crossing to the other, even diagonally.

Architecture

Hepinglibeijie station takes the form of four boxes -- three large and one small. Exits A1, A2 and B are comfortably big enough to accomodate an escalator. Exit C, the small "tilted box", is rather small, and can only fit a staircase. Exit D is built into a nearby underpass.

Interior

Hepinglibeijie station has two underground levels, with the platform on the lower level. Underground Level 1 is a through hall; passengers from Underground Level 2 can take any staircase or elevator to reach all exits on the upper level.

The station is supported by two rows of yellow square columns at platform level.
