Beitucheng station has three underground levels, with the platforms on the lower two level. Underground Level 1 appears to be a through hall; passengers from Underground Levels 2 and 3 can take any staircase, escalator or elevator to reach all exits on the upper level.

The Line 8 part of the station has porcelain as the livery in the station, while the Line 10 part of the station is supported by two rows of white square columns at platform level. Line 8 riders are treated to whole entrances and wall art, as well column and even station info signpost art, in porcelain. Line 10 wall art takes the form of a "digitized" wall with scrolling text.

Interchange

Transfers between Line 10 and Line 8 vary between quick and somewhat awkward. Passengers headed for Line 8 from Line 10 use a quick staircase; however, for those transferring back to Line 10, a separate, and longer, transfer passageway is used.

During the Beijing Olympics, the transfer station was not in use for passengers headed for Line 8; passengers had to exit the station in full and use a massive security check tent. Returning spectators transferring from line 8 back to Line 10 used the T-shaped interchange now used for Line 10 passengers transferring to Line 8.

Platform Layout

Both Lines 8 and 10 use central platforms.
